WHAT HAPPENED?
Casemiro’s early goal came in the form of a 25-yard stunner. The build-up began with a skilful play by Alejandro Garnacho, who manoeuvred expertly to keep the ball in United's possession and pass it onto the Brazilian. The midfielder then curled a right-footed shot into the top-right corner of Leicester’s goal that sparked a jubilant celebration from Ruud van Nistelrooy, the interim manager after the departure of Ten Hag.

While his initial header ricocheted off the woodwork, he capitalised on the rebound with a powerful left-footed shot, leaving Leicester's defence unable to respond.
